TH Plastics Announced as Finalist for the Plastics Industry Awards for Another Year Running!

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for Supplier Partnership in Ancillary Machinery for the Plastics Industry Awards again this year!

Our entry submission this year focused on our outstanding customer relationship with connectivity solutions provider Harwin, providing them with a material handling and drying system to improve automation and energy efficiency at their site in Portsmouth.

Harwin is a world-leading specialist in supplying high-performance connectivity solutions to customers worldwide for over 70 years. They solve connectivity challenges by offering connectors to their wide range of markets, including space, aviation, defence, robotics, oil and gas, medical and motorsports.

Their mission is to provide customers with a competitive advantage of their advanced technologies, priding themselves on meeting the most demanding specifications for customers with their high-quality products, designed for ultra-high-performance applications in the harshest operating environments and the tightest of spaces.

In 2022, we partnered with Harwin to improve the efficiency of their drying solutions. From the initial meeting with TH Plastics in 2022, when Harwin were first quoted the project, they stated how satisfied they were with the customer service of our team and how this had a positive impact on the project. They were elated at how helpful our team were throughout the project and how prompt they were at answering any questions and queries.

Harwin had previously been using a 3-phase fixed air displacement dryer to dry materials on each machine, which was taking an extended amount of time and not economising electricity usage, which could have been used more productively in other areas of the business.

Switching to a single-phased system supplied by TH Plastics meant Harwin could have less material to dry with fewer loads and therefore, use much less power and output, resulting in lower costs.

We look forward to the night of the awards and potentially retaining our 2022 crown! Best of luck to all who have made it to the finals! See you on the 17th of November!
