TH Plastics Gain More Recognition!
TH Plastics is thrilled to have received the esteemed Plastic Industry Award for Supplier Partnership: Ancillary Equipment, honouring our innovative Material Handling System created in partnership with Polypipe BHL.
An event celebrating the accomplishments of the plastics industry was held at the Intercontinental Hotel at Park Lane, London on Friday, 22nd November. This annual event, which has been celebrated in London since 2001 aims to acknowledge and reward innovation and outstanding performance in a highly competitive market.
In 2022, Polypipe began plans for a new moulding shop by the side of their current production halls. The room would consist of new and relocated machines to streamline their production operations and increase output of demand and high-volume parts.
TH Plastics were contacted to tender for the project and design a material handling system consisting of centralised conveying, dosing, drying, manifold tables and Moretto’s supervisory system to meet Polypipe’s requirement. Over the course of the project, TH Plastics partnered closely with Polypipe to ensure the project ran smoothly, ahead of schedule and harmoniously alongside other onsite changes to infrastructure. The judges for this entry were not only impressed by the high level of service provided, but also noted the massive benefits that Polypipe felt throughout the duration of the project. The judges said “Great project, great collaboration, and a great illustration of how to create a loyal customer. The professional and proactive approach taken by TH Plastics validates their dedication to customer satisfaction and their capability to deliver reliable solutions to meet detailed requirements”.
During an event attended by a sold-out audience of plastics industry professionals, TV comedian Zoe Lyons, known for her performances in Superbob, Meet the Richardsons, and Comedy at the Fringe, presented the award. James Goddard, Technical Manager, and Gary Colgan, Engineering Manager, both of TH Plastics, accepted the award from Jessica Clarke, Managing Director of PlastikCity, who sponsored the award.
